Satavahana Dynasty
>Founded about 2150 years ago.
>Ruled in the Deccan region.
>Gautamiputra Shri Satakarni was the most important ruler of the Satvahanas.
>Paithan was the capital city of the Satvahanas. (Presently located in the Aurangabad district of Maharashtra.
>Satvahanas were known as lords of the dakshinapatha (route leading to the south).

Kushanas
>Ruled over central Asia and northwest India around 2000 years ago.
