The Buddha taught the people in the language of ordinary people. He taught that –
(1) Life is full of suffering and unhappiness because of our constant desires (tanha).
(2) Our current and next lives are affected by our actions (Karma).
(3) We should be kind and respectful of the lives of others.

Answer: Mahavira taught a simple doctrine:
